Musings of a Fashionista

DON’T!

Posted on: January 30, 2010

Don’t… wear a skirt with knee-high boots.

Do… wear a dress with ankle boots.

Don’t… wear jeans with holes in the butt.

Do… wear jeans with small holes in the knees.

Don’t… wear blue makeup.

Do… wear natural makeup.

Don’t… always wear one thing.

Do… have a signature accessory or trademark (like a Coach bag or braids) that you are always wearing. (Make sure said trademark goes with all your outfits)

Don’t… let your clutter get too crazy.

Do… organize your closet.

Don’t… get too carried away with the trends.  Yes, I am saying that.  Take a couple trends that you love and incorporate them into your wardrobe.

Do… pick up a fashion magazine once in a while.

Don’t… wear Mom jeans, or have your “pants on the ground”.

Do… have a fabulous fitting pair (or two or three) of jeans.

Don’t… match your suit.

Do… have a suit jacket or skirt that matches with other basic stuff in your closet.

Don’t… obsess over what you’re wearing ever single second.

Do… obsess a little. 😉

Hugs and air Kisses,

The Fashionista

If I wore a skirt, what would be appropriate shoes or boots to wear? Why would knee high boots be wrong or does it depend on the length of the skirt?

If you wear a skirt wear it with heels or flats. It just screams inappropriate if you wear boots with a skirt, unless you are wearing leggings under the skirt.

If I wore a skirt it would definitely be wrong.
