Comeback Set

Hi!  It’s The Fashionista, back again.  Like Slim Shady and Britney Spears, all things come back eventually.  Perhaps those were bad examples because no one likes Britney, but whatever.

I guess you could say that this post is an experiment to see if anyone actually cares about my lovely fashion blog anymore.  I have 44,429 views on Polyvore, apparently.  I didn’t know that little ole me could reach so many people.  Anyway, that’s a set to show the trends of Fall 2013.

Bye for now

As promised (and a tad bit late) here is my post on Beachy Style.

There are many places you can go on the beach.  I will explore the style elements of each.

  1. The Boardwalk.  On the boardwalk, you can wear pretty much anything, as long as you keep it casual.  No heels, please, unless you want to get stuck and fall.  Most popular were short-shorts.  I only saw three rompers, though those three girls rocked it.
  2. The Beach.  Your bathing suit, sunglasses, sunscreen and a cute cover-up.  In terms of cover-ups, you can wear shorts or a sundress.
  3. Restaurant: Casual.  Wear a sundress (no bathing suit under it this time) or a floral shirt.  Pair the floral shirt with denim to keep it casual, but then accessorize with some gladiators (love gladiators!) and sparkly nails.
  4. Restaurant: Fancy.  Fancy dress or a skirt.  Accessorize!  Put on makeup.  Most of the other times on the beach you don’t want to wear makeup because of the heat, it would melt and run off.  Ew!

Basically, beach style is pretty care free because, well, you’re at the beach!  You shouldn’t be worrying about your outfit.  But if you have to, use the tips above.  Enjoy your vacation!  Or, if you’re not on vacation, take the tips and just imagine you’re at the beach 🙂

Hey everyone! I figured I would post about Selena Gomez, because she’s Disney’s next big star.  I think Selena is the next Miley (hopefully without the train wreck ending).

Let’s look back on Selena’s style.

Selena arriving on the red carpet with now ex-BFF Demi Lovato.  Love her hair!

Selena in a rather unfortunate dress.  Like the one shoulder, don’t like the color or how baggy it is.

Love this purple dress!  Only thing I don’t like is that it’s a little bit too short.

I like this dress, very slinky.

I’ve posted about animal print, but I haven’t done one specifically on zebra print.

I was visiting a farm, looking around at all the animals (my favorites are the chickens and cows) and suddenly I realized something.  Someone was wearing head to toe zebra print.  Yes, readers, head to toe.  A track suit.  It was horrible.  Also, zebra print at a farm?  Really?

Then I wandered around the town around the farm, and I saw yet another lady wearing (what else?) head to toe zebra print.  She was pushing a zebra print carriage with a baby inside.

Why am I telling you this?  Because I want you to be more fashionable than that.  I want you to wear zebra print, but to wear it better than those two women did.  Wear it with black or jeans, something simple to balance out the wild and crazy print.

Emma Watson is one of my favorite female stars.  I think she has a great sense of style, and yes, her acting skills are pretty admirable (she’s starred in the Harry Potter series since 2001).  Recently, Emma cut her her in a ‘daring’ pixie cut.  Here’s a picture of her hair, before and after (picture from NYdailynews.com)

Taylor Swift is one of the world’s most popular teenagers.  Pick up any magazine, and she’ll either be on the cover or featured in an article.  That’s because Taylor has awesome music, a girly-chic style, and she seems nice.

I put together a collage of girly dresses.  Hopefully, Taylor approves!

You know its April.  So what’s with the temps?!  90 degrees today.  I had to go and splash around in a stream like an 8 year old to cool off!

On the topic of heat, I must advise you not to wear micro-shorts.  Those are the shorts that aren’t flattering on anybody above a size 2.  Short shorts maybe, but eh.  If you’re exercising or using them as a coverup after a swim, they’re just too short!

Everyone can look good in Bermuda shorts, though.  Bermudas are knee-length.

Ruffles are hard to wear!  You don’t want to over ruffle, but it is also hard to find flattering ruffles.

I’m so glad to see color again!  After the blah winter of black, brown, and gray, it’s nice to see red, pink, and purple.

Also, nautical stripes caught my attention.

They’re nice, I guess.  But horizontal stripes are hard to wear.

All for now.  Take this poll to give your opinion and comment below; have you seen any trends I haven’t?

Hugs and air Kisses,
